Women and Expo

Diana Bracco, President of Expo 2015 S.p.A. attended with the CEO Giuseppe Sala, the international conference “Woman in Diplomacy – Building a Network for a Better World”, held on 16th July in Rome

“Expo Milano 2015 will be a great opportunity for women”, stated Mrs. Diana Bracco, President of the organizer company of 2015 event. She attended, with the CEO Mr. Giuseppe Sala, the international conference “Woman in Diplomacy – Building a Network for a Better World” organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome. 

“We aim at involving women as ambassadors of the Universal Exposition of Milan – she added - because the nutrition is strictly related to the female world”. From this assumption, Expo Milano 2015 will promote a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing the role of women in the nutrition fields. “There’s a close relationship between nutrition issues (health, food security, sustainability) and the professional role of women in the food chain” explained Mrs. Bracco. 

Among the initiatives, the project plans the realization of a thematic path within the exposition site: the journey focused on women will start from Padiglione Zero, which will host an impressive set on the female theme, and will continue through the other pavilions.

For this purpose, on the occasion of the second International Participants Meeting, planned for the next October in Milan, Expo 2015 Company will provide participants with the guide lines to decline this thematic paths through their own pavilions.

In the next years, women will be the main characters of lots of events. “Women and Expo” is aimed at promoting a network of women from all over the world, able to become a driver of change and growth in their Countries.
