The number of Official Participants at Expo Milano 2015 rises to 93
The number of Official Participants to the World Expo of Milan keeps on growing. With the adhesion of the Democratic Republic of Congo (Kinshasa), Expo Milano 2015 gets 93 adhesions. “It’s an important achievement got almost 1,000 days before the opening of the event”, stated Mr. Roberto Formigoni, General Commissioner of Expo Milano 2015, by announcing the adhesion of Congo Kinshasa.
In the note where it confirmed its participation, DR Congo indicated also its General Commissioner: Roger Boki Dia Batomen, current chief of the Commercial Promotion Department of the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Country.
“The last adhesion – added Mr. Formigoni – confirms the positive approach of the African continent towards the 2015 event, by recognizing the possibilities of growth and economic development that are offered. Moreover – he continued – the presence of lots African Countries demonstrates the great interest in the theme ‘Feeding the planet, energy for life’ which, together with the initiatives planned in the international cooperation, is an important driver to promote a useful multi-sectorial debate”.
The confirmation of Congo Kinshasa came few days after the adhesion of CERN, the second international organization after UN to take part in the Universal Exposition of Milan.
